Real Questions. Straight Answers.
Everything parents, guardians, and educators ask us most — about grades, standards, safety, AI, and how the adventure actually teaches.
What is Allen Girls Adventures?
Allen Girls Adventures is a story-based learning platform for elementary students in grades 3–6. Kids join three sisters — Natalia, Alana, and Maya — across 8 adventure worlds, where a full curriculum of 77 modules and 385 lessons turns standards-aligned math, reading, science, and social studies into the keys that solve each mission.
What grades and ages is it for?
The platform is designed for grades 3, 4, 5, and 6 — roughly ages 8 to 12. Its 77 modules and 385 lessons span that full range, difficulty adapts within missions, and mastery is tracked against grade-level standards behind the scenes.
Is Allen Girls Adventures aligned to state standards?
Yes. The 77 modules and 385 lessons are aligned to state learning standards for grades 3–6 across math, ELA, science, and social studies. Kids see mission language on screen, while teachers and guardians can see the underlying standards, skills, and mastery evidence.
How is this different from Khan Academy, IXL, or Prodigy?
Most platforms attach games or videos to practice questions. In Allen Girls Adventures, the learning is required to advance the story — remove the skill and the mission can't be solved. We also combine subjects in single missions, use a no-shame support ladder instead of scores and streaks, and measure mastery as evidence over time rather than one lucky answer. Does the app use AI with my child? Is it safe?
S.P.A.R.K., the in-story robot buddy, is intentionally bounded: no open-ended chat, no answer-giving, and no shame or disappointment language. Your child's real name, school, and location are never transmitted to AI systems. Guardians create and control kid accounts.
What happens when my child gets an answer wrong?
Nothing shaming. First attempt is independent; second attempt earns a constructive hint; third attempt brings stronger visual scaffolds or manipulatives. Errors are treated as information that helps the mission adapt — the platform never compares your child to peers or locks them in a failure loop.
Can teachers and schools use Allen Girls Adventures?
Yes. Teachers get dashboards with standards mapping, mastery evidence, attempt history, accommodations, and intervention recommendations. The platform runs in the browser on Chromebooks and shared devices. Schools and districts can request a pilot through our Partners page.
What subjects are covered?
Our curriculum balance is roughly 40% STEM, 20% ELA, 20% social-emotional learning, 10% culture, and 10% life skills — and missions often combine subjects the way real problems do.
How do parents see progress?
Your guardian dashboard translates the adventure into plain language: skills mastered, current focus, where your child is being supported, and how progress lines up with their grade level.
Is there a free way to try it?
Yes — create a free guardian account, add your child, and start the first adventure at no cost.
How much does Allen Girls Adventures cost?
You can create a free guardian account and start the first adventure at no cost. For current details on plans beyond the free start — including family and school pricing — reach out through our Contact page and we will share what fits your situation.
What devices does it run on?
Allen Girls Adventures runs in a standard web browser, so it works on low-cost school Chromebooks, Windows laptops, Macs, and tablets. There is no separate app to install, and your child can sign in on any supported device and pick up their progress where they left off.
Does it need an internet connection?
Yes. Because Allen Girls Adventures runs in the browser and saves progress to your child's account, it needs an internet connection to play and to keep the guardian dashboard up to date. There is nothing to download or install ahead of time — you just open a browser and sign in.
How is my child's mastery measured?
Mastery is measured as evidence built up over several attempts and missions, not a single score or a lucky guess. Each skill is mapped to a grade-level standard, and your child is counted as mastering it only after showing they can apply it consistently — which is what the guardian dashboard reports back to you.
Can more than one child use one account?
Yes. A grown-up creates and controls one guardian account, then adds a separate profile for each child inside it. Every child keeps their own progress, mastery evidence, and adventure history, while the grown-up stays in control of all of them from a single dashboard.
How do I manage or close my account?
The grown-up who owns the account is always in control. From your account settings you can update a child's profile, remove a profile, or close the account entirely, and you decide what happens to the data. If you need a hand, our Contact page reaches a real person who can help.
