Learning in Around The Way
Around The Way is the Allen sisters’ real Earth neighborhood — home, school, family, friendship, and the everyday problems that start bigger adventures. For grades 3–6, it is the grounded center of Allen Girls Adventures: life skills, social-emotional learning, practical math, business sense, and community responsibility wrapped in stories kids already recognize from their own block.
Extraordinary missions often begin with ordinary stakes here. A lemonade stand teaches pricing and teamwork. A messy Kid Cave cleanup becomes the doorway to a larger mystery. A hard day at school becomes practice in communication, fairness, and courage. The academic work never feels pasted on because the world is already the child’s world.
Like every Allen Girls Adventures world, Around The Way carries the platform spine of 77 modules and 385 lessons for grades 3–6. Here that curriculum shows up as home inventory problems, community challenges, money math, and relationship skills — the knowledge potential the World Index names as life skills, SEL, business, and community.
Meet the sisters in this world
Natalia leads group plans and learns that leadership is not the same as controlling every detail. Alana organizes information, notices social patterns, and takes her time when a careful answer beats a fast one. Maya spots who feels left out, scared, or misunderstood and protects the emotional truth of the moment. Family mentors — including Mom, Dad Manny, and PopPop Richard — guide without stealing the girls’ agency, while S.P.A.R.K. (he/him) supports research and reminders as a peer helper, not a homework machine.
